GALAKTOKOMIKH ZAKYNTHOY

In the mountain village of Agios Leontas, there is the dairy production unit of the Basta family since 1960. The Basta family is mainly active in the production of cheese (ladotyri).

The third generation of the family modernized the production of cheese with a modern unit, with standards of our time and created the Dairy of Zakynthos, which today produces various types of cheese, based on the dignity of the family. The aim is for the products to reach the consumer, respecting the environment, while maintaining their quality.

Zakynthos Dairy supports local farmers (milk producers), creates jobs in the local community and supports the tourism industry by promoting traditional cheeses. This effort has the support and recognition of both the local community and the community outside Zakynthos.
