Cast iron cookware cleaning & maintenance process:
After you're done cooking, let your cast iron cookware cool completely before rinsing it in hot water. Do not use dishwashing liquid or soap to clean it as this will destroy the patina on its surface. Clean it with a special cleaning brush and let it dry. Even the most difficult stains will be removed with the use of the cleaning brush. Dry your pan immediately after cleaning it (you can put it on a very low heat for 5-10 minutes to remove all the moisture).
Spread a thin film of vegetable oil (for example, sunflower oil, seed oil) on all surfaces of the pan (inside-outside). Spread the vegetable oil with a towel and put enough so that your dish does not shine. If your pan is shiny, it means that you have put more vegetable oil than necessary. We recommend not adding more vegetable oil because your pan will then "stick" to your hands. The vegetable oil protects the cast iron from rust and prepares the surface of the pan for the next cooking. Do not store a cast iron pan wet and without oiling it, as it will rust.
